Ireland team v Wales
O’Sullivan forced into changes through injury for the clash with Wales at Croke Park, Dublin on Saturday ko 13:15.
Murphy and Dempsey failed fitness tests on Thursday morning so Rob Kearney moves from the left wing to full-back, while Horgan is called into the team. Tommy Bowe switches from right to left wing and Luke Fitzgerald is promoted to the replacements. There were already two changes in the pack from the win over Scotland with Paul O’Connell and Rory Best replacing Mick O’Driscoll and Bernard Jackman. O’Connell replaced fellow Munsterman O’Driscoll at lock while Best won back his hooking role from Jackman.
Team:
Backs: Kearney, Horgan, B O’Driscoll (capt), Trimble, Bowe, O’Gara, Reddan.
Forwards: Horan, Best, Hayes, O’Callaghan, O’Connell, Leamy, D Wallace, Heaslip.
Replacements: Jackman, Buckley, M O’Driscoll, Easterby, Stringer, P Wallace, Fitzgerald.
