England drop below Argentina in rankings

England will rue the lost chances against Australia as they slip down to 5th in the rankings behind Argentina. The other change sees Fiji replacing Italy in the top 10.

Latest IRB Top 10

Following the first round of match’s here are the latest IRB top 10. England and France have both moved up one place whilst Argentina and Wales have moved down. The games this weekend will perhaps have more relevance for the England, Ireland and Scotland ranking.

IRB Latest top 10 ranking

Australia overhaul South Africa and move up to 2nd in the IRB rankings thanks to their first win in South Africa since 2000.
The top 10 listing as at todays date is now: new Zealand, Australia, South Africa, Argentina, England, Wales, France, Ireland, Scotland and Italy.

IRB Rankings as at 07 July 2008

Following the recent spate of international matchs there are some minor changes to the top ten rankings.
The biggest change is New Zealand replace South Africa at number one. Also thanks to their win in Argentina Italy move up one place to 10, knocking Fiji down one to 11.
