Samoa lock Levi out of World Cup
England’s World Cup opponents Samoa have suffered a blow with the news that Filipo Levi has been ruled out of the tournament with a fractured eye socket. The lock suffered the injury in Samoa’s 26-7 win against Sale last weekend, and follows that of prop Donald Kerslake, who broke his ribs two weeks ago.
Levi and Kerslake have been replaced by Taniela Fuga and Alfie Vaeluaga.
Samoa’s first World Cup game is against South Africa on 9 September, with the match against England on 22 September.
