Teams close in on qualification
In the European Round 3 play-off Germany beat Spain in Heidelberg 18-6 giving them a 12 point advantage to take to Madrid on May 27th. The match saw two Germans trys and red cards for Spain’s hooker and the second row of Germany, the other points on the board came from penalties.
Hong Kong beat Sri Lanka 45-14 at the Hong Kong Football Club, Hong Kong scored early via hooker Tom Cameron and didn’t look back in a convincing win. Hong Kong were were matched in the tight & set pieces by Sri Lanka who were a strong physical presence, but Hong Kong were tireless in the loose and their open play was too much for Sri Lanka.
