Lens Felix Bollaert
The Stade Felix Bollaert in the town of Lens is in the North of France an hour and a half from Calais making it probably one of the easiest stadiums for UK fans to reach. The stadium had the reputation with its capacity of 41,500 seats of holding more than the town population this was prior to the 1999 census when the population climbed over 55,000.
The stadium is hosting the Rugby World Cup for the second time having seen Ireland lose to Argentina in October 1999. It has also held rugby games for the French Barbarians v New Zealand in 2000 and France v Romania in 2003 in both instances the French sides came out on top. Although Lens is a football town it has always turned out in force to support the rugby.
Three pool games in September will be played in the stadium the first on the 8th will feature England, then the 22nd featuring South Africa and last the match there is on the 26th.
