France Host RWC 2007
France have reached two of the last five Rugby World Cup Finals but have lost both times. 'Les Blues' have always risen to the occasion on rugby's biggest stage. In 2004 France claimed their second Six Nations grand slam, that coupled with two previous championships meant four European wins in eight years.
'Le Blues' Rugby's Flair World Cup Side
France have always combined powerful forwards with a talented set of backs, to produce awesome attacking play. Their Achilles heel was always a lack of discipline gifting the opposition penalty goals and possession. Under the continuing guidance of Bernard Laporte, a new discipline has been established, making France a feared opponent. This coupled with home advantage should see the French competing through into the latter stages and this is probably their best opportunity to lift the Webb Ellis Cup.
The new France shirts are available now. The shirt which we believe will also be the World Cup version has changed considerably from previous versions with a pale blue flash on the dark blue shirt and dark blue flash on the white away, these are similar to the England shirt and as distinctive. The shirt is made by Nike and features further developments on the tight fit first seen at the 2003 Rugby World Cup. To place your order and view other France shirts visit the France Shirts page.
France in Pool 'D'
In Pool D France face Ireland, Argentina, Georgia and Namibia they are expected to progress to the knockout stages though Ireland and Argentina will prove stiff tests however, they just might end by keeping the rugby world cup in the northern hemisphere.
